"The Industry's Role in Climate Sustainability"

As the next generation of communications infrastructure is rolled out around the world, many in the telecoms industry see the need to combat climate change, enhance climate resilience, and develop adaptive capabilities as important pieces of the puzzle.

Telecoms.com Intelligence, in collaboration with RedHat, Intel recently conducted a survey to get the views of telecoms professionals on climate sustainability and the role the industry can play in combatting climate change.

Here are a few snippets of the findings from the survey:

• More than two in five respondents are currently in a strategy planning phase and assessing where their organisation can have the most impact
• More than half of respondents say increased operational efficiencies and innovation are the top drivers behind offering climate-sustainable products and services
• Ensuring that telecom infrastructure is resilient against the effects of climate change is also supported by more than half of the respondents
